Hi, I’m Tynisha!

A woman with red hair, glasses, and a nose ring, smiling and wearing a green top, in a room with a yellow wall and a blue picture in the background.

I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can exhale. Life can be messy, overwhelming, and full of unexpected transitions, and you don't have to navigate those seasons alone. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, supported, and understood. I often tell clients that therapy doesn't have to feel so clinical—we can laugh together, celebrate your wins, and work through the hard moments with honesty and compassion.

I focus my work in the perinatal postpartum period, as well as with couples and individuals navigating major life transitions. Whether you're adjusting to parenthood, struggling with anxiety or depression, feeling disconnected in your relationship, or trying to rediscover yourself during a season of change, we'll work together to understand what's keeping you stuck and identify practical steps toward the life you want.

My passion for this work comes from a deep belief that healthy relationships have the power to transform our lives. I'm passionate about helping people understand the patterns that keep them feeling stuck, strengthen their relationships, and create lives that feel more aligned with their values. It's incredibly rewarding to walk alongside clients as they build confidence, develop healthier boundaries, and discover they're more capable than they ever imagined.

As a mom myself, I know how vulnerable the transition into parenthood can be. We often hear that "it takes a village," but many parents feel like they're expected to figure everything out on their own. I want to be part of your village—a steady source of support as you learn to navigate this new chapter with greater confidence and self-compassion.

Above all, I hope you leave therapy trusting yourself more. My goal isn't for you to become dependent on therapy; it's for you to feel confident in your own voice, your own instincts, and your ability to navigate life's challenges. Together, we'll learn to distinguish between what your intuition is telling you and what anxiety or depression may be saying instead, so you can move forward feeling grounded, empowered, and connected to yourself.

My Approach

My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Person-Centered Therapy to help you recognize unhelpful patterns, develop effective coping strategies, and build confidence in yourself. While I'll always offer warmth and validation, I'll also gently challenge you to explore new perspectives and move toward meaningful change.
